Dear Prayer Warriors,

Greetings in the Name of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Thank you for your prayers. Praise the Lord with me that my doctors have released me to return to Peru! Now I just await the official health clearance from ABWE. My blood test results were good, and Dr. Frakes has switched me from Tamoxifen to Arimidex. Arimidex has fewer serious side effects than Tamoxifen but is also much more expensive. The least expensive quote for a 3-month supply we have gotten so far is $672.88. Because of your generous giving, I do have some funds at ABWE that could be used to get me started. There are also other foundations and even the manufacturer that may be able to help bring the costs down. So far I have not heard that Arimidex is available in Peru. Please pray for wisdom in knowing who to contact and for the Lord's provision. Ultimately, He is the One with the solution.

Lord willing, tomorrow I will be heading north for my meeting at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pleasanton. There is also a meeting scheduled for Wednesday (9/28) at Elmira Baptist Church in the Vacaville area. Then I will be returning to Vista to make final preparations for traveling to Peru. Please pray for safety in travel and that I will be a blessing to those I come in contact with.

Please keep praying for the deaf church and school in Iquitos. They continue to deal with government paperwork. Continue praying that I will know the Lord's will for my ministry there as well.

A special request would be for a seminar that is being offered at the Bible institute this Saturday for the hearing churches. Fran Weddle, who is teaching the course on Christian Ethics, is organizing the seminar and has invited a couple of volunteers from the Lima Christian Crisis Pregnancy Centers, Holly and Delsy, to teach on the sanctity of life and other related subjects. Pray that there will be a good turn-out and that lives will be impacted for godliness.

May the Lord bless you all! Keep looking up!

Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
