Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings in our Savior's precious Name! Thank you for your prayers. I had
a wonderful weekend with everyone at Bethel Baptist Church in Torrance, who
showed me they cared in many different ways. It was also a blessing to meet
Pat and Elizabeth Flores who are serving the Lord in Mexico and to be
challenged and encouraged through Pat's ministry from the Word of God.
Praise the Lord, all has gone well in the doctor appointments and procedures
that were done this week! After three tries, the nurses concluded they
would not be able to locate a vein in my left arm, so they used my
porta-cath one last time to give me some sedation before they removed it.
The reason the porta-cath was removed is because I will not be having more
chemotherapy. Everything has been set up in order to begin the radiation
treatments on Monday, the 18th. My time slot for that is 10:30 a.m. Monday
through Friday for the next six weeks. Please pray for the effectiveness of
this treatment and for minimal side effects. Thanks!
Please continue to pray for the Cassidy family in Iquitos as they face court
proceedings stemming from a car accident. Their first hearing is Oct. 26
and 27. Their restrictions were lifted temporarily so they are planning a
ministry trip out on the river the end of the month. Pray for peace and joy
for them and for God to work the seemingly impossible in their being
absolved from guilt.
Thank you again for your partnership in the ministry. May the Lord receive
all the glory in what is accomplished in His great and awesome Name.
Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
