Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings from Iquitos! Praise the Lord, I made it here safely with all
luggage intact! Thank you for praying. :-) After a few days of enjoying
the Donaldsons' hospitality, while I tried to clear out a spot at my house,
today I am finally home! I think it will be great fellowship with Darlene
and Sarah here as my housemates. There is still more to sort and to unpack,
but I'm here.
Lord willing, Bob Trout will be arriving Sunday. Field concil meetings are
planned for Monday. Monday night I will be meeting with Bob, the
Donaldsons, and Pastor Abraham and his wife, Patsy. Please pray as we talk
about my ministry with the deaf here. Wednesday night I attended Bible
study at Efata and was cordially received. Nothing has been said about the
letter yet After the service, I had the opportunity to visit with 4 deaf
young people and to share my testimony and the gospel with Belisario, who
has just recently begun coming to church. Pray for his spiritual
understanding and salvation. Please pray for Pastor Abraham's mother who is
quite ill and for the pastor himself who has been suffering from bad
headaches.
Another visitor we are expecting this weekend is Heidi Gott, a new ABWE
appointee who is still seeking the Lord's will for her field of service.
Pray that we will be a blessing to her.
May the Lord bless you and help you shine for Him in the place He has put
you. Keep looking up!
Your sister in Christ,
Lynn
