Dear Prayer Warriors,

Happy Thanksgiving! I trust you are finding as many things to thank God for as I am. :-) He is so good always to provide what we need spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Without Him, we have nothing; with Him, we have everything we need. Praise Him!

Today was the last scheduled day of my radiation treatments. Praise the Lord, all has gone well! When I had my weekly visit with the radiologist yesterday, I asked about a small lump that I have had since my surgery. None of the other doctors had given me an explanation. She became concerned and wanted to have it checked out because it is close to the area where the cancer was originally. Well, today a pathologist did a needle aspiration and a preliminary check and did not find any cancer. Praise the Lord! I will be having another week of radiation in the area where the cancer was as an extra precaution. Thank you for praying!

We received an urgent prayer request from the Cassidy family in Iquitos. Patrick and Gina both had to appear before the judge and be confronted by the injured man suing them and his two witnesses. They are having to rely even more on the Lord, because their Christian lawyer from Lima was not able to come and help them. Continue to pray for the Lord to sustain them and give them peace. I found reason to believe that the Lord is answering in our prayers in that the judge is taking note that the testimonies are conflicting and that the party suing them has changed his story. Pray that the judge will discover the truth and for the continued protection of Patrick and Gina and their 4 children. Our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. The glory belongs to Him!

The missions conference here at Calvary Baptist Church of Oceanside went really well. I shared my testimony at the banquet, my sister, Pam, sang, and my dad brought the message. They have over $25,000 raised in faith promise giving for this coming year, more than twice their goal of $11,000. Pray they will continue strong in faith and commitment to the Lord.

May the Lord bless you all richly this Thanksgiving Day and weekend. I am looking forward to a good day with my family and also on Saturday, joining a group from church who are taking a turkey dinner to a new church plant in Mexico. It will be my first visit to our southern neighbor, and I look forward to ministering again in Spanish.

Keep looking up!

Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
