Tues. 5-11-04 Dear Prayer Warriors, Greetings once more from Vista! Here it is once more time for another chemo treatment tomorrow. This will be the third one. Dr. Frakes said she would be scheduling another appointment afterwards with the surgeon, Dr. Porretta, so she can do a sonagram and measure the tumor. Pray that it will have shrunk enough that she can do the surgery next so there won't have to be another chemo treatment before surgery. Of course, after surgery there will be more chemotherapy. Most of all, pray for the Lord's will to be done. He knows best! There is little news lately from Iquitos and the deaf church. Pastor Abraham and Patsy visited one of our missionaries to give her a rose for Mother's Day and told of counselling a couple in the church who are engaged. Please continue to pray for their ministry. Jennifer Kalnbach, who worked at the deaf church and church last year, has sent out a letter sharing her desire to return to Iquitos during the summer to help at Efata again. Please pray for Jennifer. She would be a real encouragement to the deaf believers at the church and school in Iquitos. If you are interested in reading her letter, just request it and I would be glad to forward it to you. You have prayed for Mr. Hewitt, my brother-in-law's father, in the past. He was promoted to Heaven last Thursday. Please pray for his wife, Beverly, and the rest of the family for the Lord's comfort. Tim and Pam and their girls will be going to Michigan the end of this week so please pray for their safety as well. Thank you so much for all your prayers, words of encouragement, cards, gifts. I feel very loved and cared for by you. May the Lord bless you all abundantly! Keep looking up! With love and prayers, Lynn
