Dear Prayer Warriors,

Thank you so much for your prayers for Pastor George Arvi. I appreciate especially those of you who wrote to let me know you are upholding us in prayer. God has answered your prayers with the life of the pastor. He is now in a clinic where they are doing reconstructive surgery to repair the damage done to his left arm. Other surgeries will follow on the wounds to his shoulder, neck, and head. This will be expensive, so please pray for the Lord’s provision. So far nothing has come of the investigation into the ones who committed the crime. We await God’s justice. Please keep praying for safety for all of us. Thanks!

Last night God’s people gathered to comfort another pastor in the sudden death of his wife. Pastor Flauber Lozano’s wife, Estela, was called home to Glory with a heart attack at 1:30 a.m. yesterday. Pastor Flauber is one of our professors at the Bible institute, and Estela was both a student and choir member there. The evening before her Homegoing, they were both at the institute, and we had a meeting about one of the activities for the 60th anniversary coming up. Pastor Flauber and Estela were a true husband and wife team, and he needs our prayers as he learns to face life without his helpmeet. The burial is at 4:00 this afternoon.

Praise the Lord for a good class last night of Christian Evidences! We looked into how to answer those who deny our Lord because of all the evil they see in this world. It was a special time of sharing and of praising our Almighty, All-Knowing God Who will one day bring justice to this sinful, broken-down world. Our part is to trust Him and to hang onto His promises of a new heaven and a new earth where there will be no more sin, pain, or dying. Praise Him!

This month continues to move forward as the semester draws to a close, and we begin celebrating the 60th anniversary. Pray for the students to be able to pay their bills. Sarah Britton’s group from Dayton, Ohio, will be arriving on June 13, Lord willing. Please pray for all the final details there.
