Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings from Iquitos! Thank you for your prayers. Yes, I am back in the
hot jungles of Peru. It seems strange to come back for such a short time,
just 2 and 1/2 weeks here in Iquitos. In Lima we had a great conference
learning about discipleship and working together better as a team. After
the conference, I was able to visit the deaf church there in Lima. Many of
the deaf told me that they had been praying for me, and I was given
opportunity to share a testimony of God's work in my life. In Lima I was
also able to get some paperwork done on my residency papers.
The past couple of days here in Iquitos have been ones of readjustment. It
has been very hot and humid as well. I attended Efata Baptist Church Wed.
night and enjoyed the deaf who were there. Tonight, Lord willing, we will
have two nights and a morning of special meetings with evangelist Jim Sloan.
Please pray for good attendance and open hearts, as well as anointing of
the Holy Spirit on our speaker. As soon as I finish sending this message I
plan to visit a couple of my deaf friends to make sure they know about the
meetings.
Thank you again for praying. May the Lord continue to encourage you and me
as we look to Him!
Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
