Dear Prayer Warriors,
Thank you for your faithful prayers! The Lord answered with negative test results in my Lima check-up. Praise Him!
Now I am back in Iquitos going full steam ahead back into the ministries that were put on hold during our “summer.” We still have about a month of “summer” break left, but it is time to prepare for teaching the next semester at IBBI. Praise the Lord, Peruvian pastor/missionary Francisco Acho and his wife Rosa are headed our way to take on the administration of IBBI until Tim and Virgie Farley arrive. Donaldsons and I will be serving as support personnel to help both men learn the ropes. Pray for wisdom in all this, especially as I still am learning about the ministry. Also I will be resuming the weekly Bible Studies with the deaf.
Being summer means that it is time for VBS and camps. Pray for the VBS being held at Divine Redeemer Baptist Church next week in the afternoons. It is the closest Baptist church to my house, so I’d like to take my neighbothood children there. The church has also asked me to teach a continued story throughout the week. My story is “Whiter than Snow” about two children in the Alps who learn to forgive. I’ve also been asked to serve as counselor at a youth retreat the first week of March. Thank you for your prayers!
May the Lord continue to strengthen and use you for His Glory.
Your sister in Christ in Peru,
Lynn L. Porter
