Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings once more from Peru! Thank you for your prayers for my time in
Iquitos. Praise the Lord, I was finally able to relax and make contact with
various of my deaf friends! Please keep praying for them that they would
continue to come out to services and be serious about following the Lord.
Last Thursday afternoon I had a special time with the deaf girls and women
at my home. 19 of them came and they paid god attention to my devotional on
forgiveness from Matthew 18, Hebews 10:17, and Ephesians 4:32. We also had
a handcraft, refreshments, and gifts of used clothing. Pray they will
accept Patsy as their pastor's wife and help her learn more sign language.
Patsy and I met to go over some sign language questions she had. I told the
deaf girls that they are the experts in signing and should share their
knowledge with Pastor Abraham and Patsy.
Another accomplishment on this trip was the balancing of the field council
treasury books through the end of January. This has been a frustration and
a burden for Dee Donaldson, so I'm glad I was able to help her out there. I
also enjoyed the hospitality and fellowship of the Donaldsons and the times
spent with my other colleagues, the Cassidys and the Pattons. Cassidys are
still waiting for a solution to their court case. Right now they looking
forward to a trip to the US to attend a missions conference and for Pat to
have a medical check up. Please continue to pray for them.
May the Lord continue to bless you. Keep looking up to Him!
Sincerely in Christ,
Lynn Porter
