Dear Prayer Warriors,
May this little note find you rejoicing in our Savior! This morning I was
blessed to find the gospel message in the first chapter of Revelation,
verses 5-7. Jesus Christ is "the first begotten of the dead . . . (He)
loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and hath made us a
kingdom of priests unto God . . . Behold, He cometh with clouds and every
eye shall see Him, . . ." Praise Him for His first coming as a baby and for
His promised second coming in glory!
Yesterday I had two follow-up doctor's appointments and was released by the
surgeon and told by my oncologist that I don't need to see her until next
April. The CT scan and bloodwork I had done last week came back negative.
Praise the Lord! My next follow-up appointment is with the radiologist, Dr.
Coleman, on Jan. 7, right before I travel.
The last word from the Cassidys is that after waiting for two hours for the
"witnesses" to appear, the judge postponed the re-enactment of the accident.
This is the second time these witnesses have been "no-shows." Hopefully,
the judge will get the idea that they really are not witnesses at all. They
are on a river trip right now, if all went as planned. I look forward to
seeing them and the other missionaries soon.
Please keep praying for Efata Baptist Church for the deaf. This holiday
season is often a time of great temptation for them. Pray that they will be
kept by the power of God's might for His glory. I am looking forward to
seeing them again, too, and to be an encouragement to them.
May your Christmas be full of joy and peace as you think on our Savior.
Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
