Dear Prayer Warriors,
Greetings in the name of our Savior whose birth we celebrate this month!
May you all have many opportunities to share with others who need the
salvation He came to provide for us.
Praise the Lord, my radiation treatment is now complete! Except for a
couple of sore spots, I came through relatively unscathed. :-) Now I only
have some follow up doctor visits.
I also praise the Lord for the opportunities He gave me to share a witness
with some patients and nurses. Two of them gave me their phone numbers so I
can have further contact with them. Both speak Spanish, which is nice. I
am looking for a Baptist church in Escondido with a Spanish ministry and
willingness to provide for one of the ladies, Ernestina.
Thanksgiving was a great time. We had some special times together as a
family on Thursday. Then Saturday in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico, I enjoyed the
dinner outreach to the community. The lady I talked to most was Sandra, and
she says she trusted Christ as Savior a year ago and that she is attending
another church in town. There were others there who were not believers so
just pray for the Castros and their ministry in Puerto Nuevo.
News from the Cassidys is that the Lord answered prayer in that they did not
have to go through the enactment of the accident on Thanksgiving Day. It
was postponed because of an all-Peru strike. God works in mysterious ways.
Also, Patrick was able to defend himself and have the truth heard in a
hearing before the judge on Nov. 24th. They were also able to give her a
Bible. Pray for Maria Esther. Patrick also had contact with the US embassy
who have expressed interest in their case. Pray for continued peace and
protection as well as resolution of this case. They reported 71 decisions
for salvation in the river trip they were able to take earlier last month.
Praise the Lord!
Please keep praying for the Efata Baptist Church and Pastor Abraham and
Patsy. Abraham and Patsy are planning a trip to visit his family. Pray for
the Donaldsons and Pattons who will be helping watch over the church during
their absence. I am looking forward to getting to see them in January, Lord
willing. :-)
May the Lord give you all a Joyful Christmas and a Blessed New Year! Keep
looking up!
Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
