Dear Prayer Warriors,

Greetings in our Savior's wonderful name! I just wanted to touch base with you all again. Thank you for praying. The doctor ordered a CT scan to check out my liver again and it came out negative. Praise the Lord! So far the biggest side effect of the Tamoxifen seems to be that it is affecting my mood, making me feel sad. Please pray that the Lord would show me best how to handle this. I would prefer not taking more medication.

It has been a blessing to get to travel a little more since completing the chemotherapy. Without a car of my own, I am still restricted but was able to travel by train to Santa Maria to share with the ladies there and receive encouragement from them. Lord willing, I'll speaking with the ladies at First Baptist Church of Wilmington on Sept. 1.

There has been good news from Iquitos in that some of the deaf who left have started attending church again. Rich and Dee Donaldson are there once more and spending time with the deaf church and Pastor Abraham and Patsy. The church anniversary meetings with missionary Shane Rice are this weekend, Aug. 27 - 29. Some good news is that both Silvia's mom and Maribel's mom have said they would attend. Please pray that they would follow through with their promise and that the Lord would prepare the hearts of all who attend to understand His Word.

May the Lord bless you all! Keep looking up!

Your sister in Christ,
Lynn Porter
