Dear Prayer Warriors, Greetings from the ??????? of chemotherapy. My first treatment was last Wednesday, March 31, an all-day event at Scripps Hospital with intravenous drip. This will be repeated every three weeks for three or four more times. I withstood the original onslaught fairly well, but my digestive tract has not been happy since. At least you can tell I am at the computer writing to you, so I am still going. Thank you so much to all of you who have prayed and to you who have written to encourage me. So far I have my hair but that is sure to change within the next week they say. Cancer treatment is a long process and I appreciate all of you who are sticking with me in it. There are so many others who also need prayer these days. My sister's father-in-law suffered a massive stroke 10 days ago so the Hewitt family is in need of our prayers. My aunt Jean's mother passed away on Sunday so they are grieving. She's the widow of my mother's only brother, Milt, who passed away the end of December 2003. One of my supporters, Carley Mitchell, is close to heaven from a stoke suffered last month, so her daughter, Sharon, and family need our prayers. My parents and I got to visit her last weekend briefly. Edna Hull, retired missionary from Iquitos was to have surgery to clear out a carotid artery this morning. And these are only some of the great needs out there among God's people. Please let me know if there is someone close to you for whom you would like me to pray for. News from Iquitos continues to be encouraging. There are more who are being saved and showing a desire to live for the Lord. Please continue to pray for Pastor Abraham and Patsy Cenepo and their flock. He was recently recognized as official pastor of the church, with missionaries and other leaders joining in the laying on of hands for his ministry. It's hard not to be there, but encouraging to know that the Lord's work continues becuase it is His, not ours. Missionaries Rich and Dee Donaldson are coming home soon on a three-month furlough, so please continue to pray for the Efata Baptist Church for the Deaf that they will keep their eyes on the Lord and obey His Word. We can help them in prayer. I'll close before this gets to be a book. My eyes are still pointed upwards, and I trust yours are, too. May the Easter season fill our hearts with gratitude toward our risen Savior! Hallelujah! Your sister in Christ, Lynn
